BiogrAphy

Molly Spencer brings her dance expereience and love for teaching children back to the community of Sonoma. She started  Miss Molly’s Pre Ballet & Dance (formorly known as Pre Ballet at the Center) in January 2015 and is currently expanding into dance camps, private lessons, after scool programs as well as additional classes at the Sonoma Community Center.

 

She was Director of Novato School of Dance; a program of the Novato Parks and Recreation from 1999 to 2008. During that time presented  three pre ballet recitals a year, a bi annual dance show for all Park and Rec Dance Classes,  and choreographed and directed the childrens’ ballet Peter and the Wolf.  In addition, she taught pre ballet, ballet and modern/lyrical jazz to students ranging from 4 to 16.

 

Molly started her path right here in Sonoma at the Community Center then continued her studies as well as performing with College of Marin and Santa Rosa Jr College. She studied with renowned teachers Jim May  at DanceSpace and the Paul Taylor Dance Studio in New York City.

 

She is excited to be able to share her love and knowledge of dance back in her hometown and with a new crop of young dancers!!

Elizabeth spent her youth training in ballet, competitive figure skating, and modern dance.  She went on to earn her BA from Prescott College in Integrative Studies in Dance and Spirituality.  She began her career as a Dance Teacher 15 years ago and has most recently become a certified Kids Yoga Instructor.  She has dedicated her time to the study of social, emotional and cognitive development through movement.  Elizabeth teaches with warmth and patience, spreading love to our youth.  When Elizabeth is not teaching you can find her with her husband and son, exploring the beauty of her home in Sonoma.
